SAVE TOPS K8

On September 11 2024, the Superintendent of of SPS sent a letter to the community, outlining what is being called the “Well-Resourced Schools” initiative. The initiative contains several proposals for consolidating schools across Seattle, and in one option, TOPS K8 is proposed to be shuttered.

While we, the parents and supporters of TOPS K8 desire a superior education for every child in Seattle, this proposal that targets TOPS K8 seems wrong-headed and ill-formed. Our vibrant DHH community, our focus on social justice, our Plant the Seeds program, and even to our many families-long -waitlist point to a robust and vital school in the Seattle landscape. We urge you to help us keep TOPS open and available for future generations of Seattle kids.
